Recommended format

Single elimination

Indoor brackets are usually single elimination. For one-day sand and grass events, double elimination gives every team more matches for the drive. Many events start with pool play and seed the bracket from the pool standings.

Scoring

Set by set, best of 3

Rally-scored sets usually go to 25, win by 2, with a deciding set to 15. Enter each set as it finishes; the bracket advances the team that wins the match.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Can I enter volleyball scores set by set?

Yes. Matches are entered set by set, and the public page shows each set score plus the sets-won total. Choose single sets, best of 3, or best of 5.

Can I run pool play before the bracket?

Yes. Choose Pool play and each pool plays a full round robin. Standings rank teams by win percentage, head-to-head, set percentage, point differential, then points allowed, and a pool match split 1–1 counts as a tie. The top teams move on to a single- or double-elimination playoff seeded from the standings.

Single or double elimination?

Yes. Indoor brackets are usually single elimination; one-night sand and grass events often run double elimination so teams get more matches.
