How TourneyPage runs a pickleball tournament.

Recommended format

Double elimination

Double elimination keeps everyone playing after one loss, which is what most pickleball players expect from a tournament day. A short single-elimination bracket works well for a quick evening event, and club round robins can run as pool play.

Scoring

Game by game, best of 3

Games are commonly played to 11, win by 2, and many events move to best of three in the later rounds. Enter each game as it finishes so players can see where a match stands.

Who uses it

Made for the people running pickleball events.

  • Club organizers

Club ladders and weekend shootouts that need a bracket everyone can follow.

  • Rec departments

Community-center and parks events where players check the next match between games.

  • Charity and social events

Fundraisers and one-night socials that want to look organized without a full tournament system.

Bracket sizes

How many games your pickleball bracket needs.

Double elimination. First-round byes go to the top seeds, and TourneyPage advances them automatically. Double elimination adds one more final only if the Losers bracket champion wins the first championship game.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Can I enter pickleball scores game by game?

Yes. Pickleball matches are entered game by game, and the sets-won total updates on the public page. Choose single games, best of 3, or best of 5 when you generate the bracket.

How do I enter doubles teams?

Enter each pair as one team, like “Jordan Smith / Alex Lee”. List order becomes seed order, and top seeds get any first-round byes.

Can I run round robin pools first?

Yes. Choose Pool play: teams split into pools, everyone plays everyone in their pool, and the standings update as you enter scores. Send the top teams to a single- or double-elimination playoff, or use one pool and no playoff for a plain round robin of up to 10 teams.
