Privacy Policy

1. What this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains how TourneyPage (“we,” “us”) handles information when you visit tourneypage.com, create an organizer account, publish a tournament, or view a public tournament page. It should be read alongside our Terms of Service.

2. Information we collect

Account information. When you create an organizer account, we collect your email address and password. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and stored only in hashed form.

Tournament content. What you enter to build your tournament: its name, sport, date, location, team or participant names, scores, rules, and announcements.

Payment information. When you publish, Stripe processes your payment. We receive limited details from Stripe, such as the payment amount, status, and the email used at checkout. We don’t receive or store your full card number.

Usage and device information. Like most websites, we automatically receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and the actions you take in the product (for example, “tournament published”). We also collect error reports when something breaks.

Messages to us. If you email us, we keep the message and your contact details so we can respond.

3. How we use information

• To provide the Service: sign you in, save your work, and publish your tournament page.
• To process payments and confirm that a tournament can be published.
• To respond to support requests and send service messages, such as receipts or account notices.
• To keep the Service secure and prevent fraud and abuse.
• To understand how the product is used and fix problems so we can improve it.

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t use it for advertising.

4. Public tournament pages

Before you publish, your preview is visible only to you. After you publish, your tournament page, including team names, scores, rules, and announcements, is visible to anyone who has the link. You control what goes on it, and you can edit scores, rules, and announcements at any time.

Tournament pages ask search engines not to index them by default, but anyone with the link can view and share it. Please avoid posting sensitive personal information. For youth events, we recommend team names rather than children’s full names.

5. Service providers we use

We share information with companies that help us run the Service, only as needed for them to do that work:

• Supabase for our database and organizer authentication.
• Stripe for payment processing.
• PostHog for product analytics.
• Sentry for error monitoring.
• Vercel for website hosting.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in to your organizer account. Viewers of public tournament pages don’t need to sign in. You can block cookies in your browser settings, but signing in won’t work without them.

We also set two small cookies of our own to measure what works. One remembers how you first found TourneyPage, such as a search engine, a link we shared, or another tournament’s page. The other remembers that you answered our “How did you hear about TourneyPage?” question, so we don’t ask again. Neither is used for advertising or shared with ad networks.

7. How long we keep information

We keep your account and tournament content while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we’ll delete your account and tournament content within a reasonable time, except for records we must keep for legal, tax, accounting, or fraud prevention reasons (such as payment records). Copies in routine backups are removed on a rolling basis.

8. Your choices and rights

• You can edit your tournament content from your dashboard.
• You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information by emailing support@tourneypage.com.
• Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have additional rights under state law. We’ll honor those rights as the law requires, and we won’t treat you differently for using them.

9. Children

Organizer accounts are for adults. The Service isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

10. Security

We use reasonable safeguards, such as encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.

11. Where information is processed

TourneyPage is operated from the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date above, and we’ll give notice on the site or by email for significant changes.
